Dr. Laxmi A. Kondapalli
Dr. Kondapalli’s oncofertility program, one of only a few in the country, ultimately strives to ensure that every young cancer patient throughout Colorado and the surrounding states receives timely and accurate information about their options for fertility preservation, thus empowering them to make informed choices about their reproductive futures within the context of their cancer treatment and survivorship care plan.
Dr. Jennifer Richer
Dr. Richer’s ovarian and cervical cancer research has most recently discovered a pathway that, with continued investigation, could improve early detection and reverse the cancer cells’ resistance to chemotherapy, having a huge impact on saving the lives of ovarian cancer patients.
Dr. Heide Ford
Dr. Ford’s research is focused on trying to understand how developmental molecules can be hijacked to perform tumor-promoting activities later in life. Her laboratory as shown that one gene in particular, Six1, is re-expressed in breast cancer. Her group is working to determine the molecular mechanism by with Six1 causes metastasis to both the lymphatics and bone.
